What do you get when you cross Social Bookmarking with Online Shopping? Social Shopping of course. With the ever growing trend for social or community generated sites, such as del.icio.us (for bookmarks), flickr (for images) and Digg (for the written word), social bookmarking is big news in the world of Web 2.0. So it was only a matter of time before this concept was combined with internet user's favourite pastime of shopping. As an agency that prides itself on being at the cutting edge of web development, pod1 has just launched a brand new site, www.listideas.com designed to take the hassle out of compiling the ideal whish list for gifts. List Ideas was set up to make life easier, by putting together a list of ideas online, so friends and family know exactly what you want for your Birthday, Christmas or indeed any other special occasion. The idea is to make it simple for you to get inspired, find something you want and then share your ideas with your friends, family or even the rest of the List Ideas online community. The site uses a clever little bookmark or 'bookmarklet†which sits on your toolbar so when you are surfing the web and see something you want to add to a list all you need do is click on it and the item is added, even if you aren't signed in! The site has now been on line in Beta mode for the last 3 weeks while we checked for bugs and made a few tweaks to the way it looks, also we would like to thank all the people who gave us their feedback which we used for the last round of changes, prior to the official launch.
