04.08.2006 Pod1 Web Design tops the charts with a redesign for the British Hit Singles and Albums web site.
Pod1 has just been enlisted to redesign the website for the Guinness Book of British Hit Singles & Albums. The website which is actually named after the books nickname, the Bible of Pop, has been online for 4 years while the book is now on its 19th edition. This is the world's most popular music annual, selling over 80,000 copies annually to fans within the music industry, media and the general public and is a universally recognised authority on pop facts, statistics and the history of the charts. Pod1's brief is to redesign the site in order to create a new brand identity and logo that will attract both existing and potential new customers. It was felt there was the need to provide more frequent news and reviews along with easier access to the quiz and forum sections from the homepage. The new website should have the following characteristics, be cool, informative and appealing to music fans while still being intuitive and simple to use. It will also need to have a more ‘interactive community' feel, with different content being commented on by users via a blog style news page with a flexible format for easy uploading of text and images, while an additional downloadable screensaver is required to provide date, time and a new featured artist each week.« Back to News
