Reed Business Information, one of the world’s leading b2b publishers, appointed Pod1 to supply front-end design and production for a new website for Hairdresser’s Journal International, the magazine also known as HJI. A weekly title in existence for 124 years, HJI is the leading publication in its field.
Objective
HJI’s weekly readership is 58,000 and the new website was intended to extend its reach beyond this circulation. Hji.co.uk needed to reflect the forward-thinking, innovative and image-conscious environment of today’s hairdresser, and attract everyone from assistants and stylists to industry leaders, as well as inspiring business owners and advertisers. The site needed to be a space that users would keep coming back to, and where they could communicate and interact with their industry peers.
Solution
Pod1 designed and built a bright, eye-catching site that features Web 2.0 devices such as online seminars and blogs, community profiling and image galleries.
