KangaROOS was born in the USA in 1979 as a company making innovative sports shoes. Since then, it has evolved into a high-profile sports-inspired lifestyle brand with links to the music world and a dedicated following of image-conscious fans.
Objective
In order to satisfy its highly demanding, consumer-driven target audience of 13 to 21-year-old girls, Kangaroos needed to maximise its visibility on the web with a site that reflected the brand’s identity and featured compelling online tools that would guarantee regular return visits
Solution
Taking Kangaroos’ distinct brand identity to the extreme, Pod1 created a site that has ultimate visual power and appeal. Bright colours, high-impact animation and sound interactivity are all wrapped up with funky MTV-style attitude to attract users to browse and purchase online. The addition of an easy-to-use, highly effective Flash Content Management System also enables Kangaroos to upload its latest products as and when they launch, meaning the site always has up-to-the-minute impact

The site has been featured in numerous design magazines (the likes of .net and Design Week), and won the Website Of The Day accolade from leading design portal Favourite Website Awards (FWA).
